Bassix

Keeping it simple, lovin’ the bass, telling stories and letting it all out, is what the Bassix are about!

This three (sometimes four, sometimes mour!) piece group, is fronted by singer songwriter ‘Miss Jodie’ on acoustic guitar and vocals, accompanied by Julian Smith on double bass and young and funky drummer Erica T. Recently the trio have been joined by the fantastic guitarist Josh Rust who adds some sweet melodious tendencies…

These guys play 98% original music touched by blues, pop, soul and groove. Their sets may also include a few favourites from Michelle Shocked, The Audreys and Missy Higgins.

A touch of old, a little bit blue, this group is also quite new! Having begun the year in the Chai tent at Woodford these guys have embarked on their first series of gigs outside of their home base Dunoon.

Bassix have recently recorded 24 songs in 2 days and will post selections online once we've had a chance to mix the rawrgh takes.
