The Players

Miss Jodie…

… is a qualified music teacher and very experienced performer. Often she impresses audiences with a BIG vocal sound emanating from a very small body.  She provides a sassy vibe and a performance that is both vocally and visually exciting, exuding and exuberating confidence and energy.

Matt…

… has almost 20 years experience in the professional music industry as a multi-instrumentalist. Rhythm and lead guitar are his instrumental inputs with The Hoochers, as well as the occasional vocal styling.

Matt has a strong blues background that has developed into a funk/jazz/groove extravaganza. He has performed in a multitude of acts, differing in styles from acoustic jug-band blues through to funked-up improvisational jazz.

Tony…

… is a sculptor, painter and musician…overall a mad artist. Providing bottom-end ‘tones’ (no pun intended) on the electric bass suits his left-brain/right-brain creative syndrome ideally.

Nick …

plays drum-kit with a ‘fat-arse’ solid drive, but with a laid back approach to his playing that emanates groove.  Nic is also a multi-instumentalist and very experienced musician… having performed with acts such as Diana Anaid, The Remains and Beetroot.

Jules …

… is also (yes…another one) a multi-instrumentalist with a strong theatrical and creative background. Flute is his choice of instrument with The Hoochers. He also provides percussion and some backing vocals… not to mention doing a shit-hot job as Chief Sound Critic!

But that's not all …

As well as this core of excellent musicians, The Hoochers often have a variety of players perform with them at their performances. For example, there's always some great muso called Ben …

Ben V … blows trumpets and trombones with as ‘horny’ a sound as you're likely to find…

Ben G … plays his tenor sax like a man posessed
